Team RUN Running Camp

 Costs: $125 (program), $40 (daily)
 Youth & High School: Tues & Thurs (7/13), (7/15), (7/20), (7/22)
 Times: 9:00am - 12:00noon

Come and enjoy a 4 day running clinic sponsored by Marx Running and feel the exciting atmosphere of training with aspiring athletes as you gain fitness and expand your knowledge of running.  This clinic is intended to offer youth and high school athletes the opportunity to get a jump start on their up and coming cross country season by introducing and reinforcing the fundamental tools which can lead to improvements with running. The 5th Annual Team RUN  running camp will offer its runners quality instruction on endurance training tailored to meet individual goals and abilities. Daily runs and core strength training will be complemented with interactive clinics on:
  • Running Mechanics
  • Recovery Techniques
  • Nutrition
  • Energy Systems
  • Training Cycles and Strategies
  • Running Psychology
  • Injury Prevention and Management
  • Core Strengthening

Guest Speakers
  • Yolanda Flamino - Another top female New England runner, Yolanda runner experience ranges from All-American honors in college to qualifying for the Olympic Trials to becoming a Level 2 USATF coach.

  • Emily Jones -  A local runner from Bromfield Ma, Emily
    has had a tremendous amount of accomplishments with running. Her success ranges from being a high school footlocker finalist to representing the USA in the World Jr XC Championships. Right now Emily is entering he sophomore year at Georgetown University. 

  • Ruben Sanca -  A former Umass Lowell cross country
    and track and field runner, Ruben is now competing pro-
    fessional in hopes of making the Olympics for Cape
    Verde in the Marathon. This past year he won the New  Bedford Half Marathon in a debut time of 65:24, and placed 17th (first American) in the Rotterdam Marathon
    with another debut time of 2:18:43. 


















Camp Features

Nara Park - The Nara Park is located at 25 Ledge Rock Way in Acton and operated by the Town of Acton Recreation Department. The park is open year-round from sunrise o sunset and staffed seasonally from Memorial Day weekend through late August.

Wills Hole Town Forest - The Wills Hole Conservation Land and the contiguous Town Forest, Located in North Acton near Nara Park, is comprised of 90 acres with an extensive network of trails. 

All Seasons Tennis Club - The All Seasons Tennis Club is located in Acton MA and offers a large array  facilities for the post running drills and cross training.

Marx Running and Fitness Center - Located at 423 Great Road in Acton, Marx Running will be the location where the runs will begin and end. The guest speakers will also speak at the store.

Camp Director - Mark Coddaire

Mark entered into the running community many years back and since has made a very positive contribution with his presence. Mark's involvement consists of being the race director of the Bay State Marathon, team director of Team RUN, coach of Team RUN Youth, owner of Marx Running, and much much more. Mark has been able to take on these tasks due to his vast understanding of running through ever angle - from how far to run, to what shoe to wear, to understanding what it takes to put on a race. 

The Team RUN Running Camp is just another opportunity for Mark to help out others with their running. Throughout this camp he will put in his energy into make sure each and every runner can truley benefit and take home with them a better understanding of running. What is the secret? He likes to say, "Just keep it simple"
